A LOCAL GAA club is “proud” to include people from all backgrounds in their community as part of a programme which is running in partnership with Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.
Belcoo GAA club has teamed up with the Council to deliver a fully funded ‘Good Relations’ project with the aim of encouraging people in the area from all cultures to spend time together.
“We are delighted with the success of this project and the positive impact it has had on our local community,” said Karan McLernon, on behalf of Belcoo O’Rahilly’s GAA club.
The club developed a ‘Gaelic for Mothers and Others’ and ‘Dads and Lads’ programme with people from across the community taking part in the event which celebrated everything GAA.
“We are proud to have welcomed so many new participants from different backgrounds and to have had the opportunity to share our culture with them.
