Enniskillen to host major food market!

Enniskillen’s food lovers are in for a treat as a three day food market offering world wide cuisine is coming to town.
Market Place, the company responsible for organising the famous Belfast Christmas Market is bringing an award-winning Continental Market to Enniskillen this May, and will be a must visit for food lovers. And the best thing about it – it’s free!
Traders will be located in the Courtyard within the grounds of Enniskillen Castle and will be offering a great selection of products from across the globe during the three-day market.
The market will run from May 17th to the 19th where foodies and families can experience the very best international flavours and crafts.
Mouth-watering Bratwurst or Currywurst sausage cooked on the huge traditional German Schwenkgrill and fantastic French crepes are just some of the tempting treats on offer.
For those in search of a light bite the very popular Dutch Poffertjes (small pancakes) will be on offer and for those with an adventurous side, an exotic meat burger from Meats of the World will do just the trick.
Papa’s Minerals will quench thirsty visitors  and if the promised warm weather appears, cooling ice-cream will be a welcome  indulgence.
There will also be plenty of crafts and gifts to discover including dream catchers from Peru, handmade South American jewellery, beautifully crafted jewellery and ornaments from Wrongtime Village in Zimbabwe and products from a mix of local traders too.
And if the shopping gets too much take the weight off your feet at the famous Merry Monk German Bar and sample some of the wonderful German beers, Champagnes and Ciders.
Market Place Manager, Mr Andy Pidgen is excited to be including Enniskillen on the tour this year, ‘Market Place is delighted to be bringing the award winning continental market to Enniskillen. Our traders are delighted at the prospect of meeting the locals and taking some time out to enjoy the stunning Fermanagh lakes. The atmosphere promises to be great with so many visitors exploring and enjoying all the great flavours on offer.’
Tanya Cathcart, Marketing Manager, Fermanagh Lakeland Tourism says, “It will be a great addition to the local event calendar and we are delighted that Enniskillen has been added to this Spring Tour.”
