The rural Post Office at The Reade Hall, Monea closed temporarily in March 2018 following the resignation of the postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use. 

The service will be back in action from Monday April 29th at 10am, and will be a much needed boost for the community. 

The Post Office have confirmed that they have been able to reinstate the hosted outreach service, and the facilities at the branch will remain the same as before the temporary closure. 

A spokesman for the Post office said, “I know that the local community will join me in welcoming this good news and hope that our customers will continue to use the branch.”

Meanwhile in Enniskillen, the Cornagrade Road Post Office closed temporarily on March 9th following the resignation of the postmaster and withdrawal of premises for Post Office use but has recently re-opened.

The branch re-opened on Friday March 29th based in a new location at Rooney’s Eurospar on the Cornagrade Road. Customers are able to access the Post Office services at a low-screened, open plan modern serving point which will be part of the shop’s retail counter. The branch offers a wide range of Post Office services over longer opening hours, so customers will be able to access services when it is convenient. 

Detailing the announcement, the Post Office said, ‘We are delighted to let you know that following the temporary closure of Cornagrade Road Post Office we will be re-opening the branch. We are keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible so we are not progressing with these plans.”
