Gilmartin’s Craft Shop
Set up by husband and wife team Kevin and Veronica, Gilmartin’s Craft Shop is a family business lasting the test of time.
Celebrating 40 years in April 2019, the craft shop in Belleek is now run by Kevin and his daughter Pauline and remains the ‘go to place’ for special occasion gifts. Evolving with the years, the store now stocks the top brands while also stocking local artists’ work and has a very busy online presence.
Family has been at the centre of McBrien’s Newsagent for the past 50 years. John McBrien currently runs the shop, while his 83-year-old mother, Kathleen works behind the scenes looking after the financial side of things.
John’s wife Vanessa, son James and sister Mary can also be found putting in a shift in the store. The newsagent is a daily stop for many in Lisnaskea with McBrien’s supplying everything from newspapers and magazines to toys and gifts.
Fermanagh Properties Ltd
At Fermanagh Properties Ltd, it truly is a family affair. Owned by Arthur and Liz Cadden, and sons Michael and David, the company has made its mark on Fermanagh’s hospitality scene.
Opening Lusty Beg Island in 1990, its extensive offering also includes the Enniskillen Hotel and the ever popular Pat’s Bar. Beginning with a workforce of four, the family run company now employs over 200 in the local area.
Cavanagh Free Range Eggs
KEEPING it in the family certainly works for Cavanagh Free Range Eggs, the local brand that can be found everywhere from top supermarket chains to high end hotels.
Established by Eileen and John Hall in 2002, siblings, in-laws and now the next generation are all part of the team. Supplying the industry right across the UK and Ireland, the company is continuing to grow from strength to strength.
