‘We deserve better’ event scheduled for next Tuesday

WITH less than a week to go, the ‘We Deserve Better’ Campaign in Enniskillen has exceeded expectations as more than 589 people have signed up.

The campaign, which has become a social media sensation, aims to bring 589 people together to represent each day that the North has been without a functioning government.

Due to the political stalemate since January 2017, the North will break the record for the longest period of time that a jurisdiction has spent without a working government, and now the public are urging the politicians to get back to work.

The campaign began when dance instructor and Enniskillen man Dylan Quinn decided ‘enough is enough’ and used the power of social media to unite people across the North into urging our MLAs to return to the Assembly Chamber.

Mr Quinn explained, “All is going well in Enniskillen, everyone has been allocated their numbers and people are responded very positively to it. We have been getting great support since the campaign started.”

The campaign has been a huge success and there are now 15 events scheduled across the North including Omagh, Strabane and Belfast City Hall. Local people can let their voice be heard at the Enniskillen event which takes place next Tuesday, August 28th at the Castle Basin, neare the Castle, at 7pm.
