Eileen McDonagh

Eileen McDonagh is one of the Lakeland Special Olympics Club’s longest serving athletes and has always strived to give of her best whether at the training sessions or in competition. With her warm, affectionate personality she always arrives at all club events with a huge infectious smile. Eileen has been successful over the years winning several medals at the All-Ireland games and in June of 2017 won gold at the Ulster Games in Antrim. She represents everything positive about Lakeland Special Olympics Club and really enjoys both the social interaction and competitive aspects of the club life.

Sean Douch

Sean joined the Lakeland Special Olympics Club in recent years and is a fully committed member who enjoys participating in various disciplines. In 2010 whilst attached to another club he achieved great success in athletics, winning gold medals at the All-Ireland Games in Limerick. Sean has now transferred his talents to the football field where he has represented Lakeland Special Olympics Club senior team in various competitions. He has a warm, friendly and positive demeanour. He displays great skills and commitment and is a central figure in the senior football team.

Thomas Fee

Thomas Fee is a member of the junior section of Lakeland Special Olympics Club. In the early stages he attended the football training programme as goalkeeper. He has made such great progress that he represented the club at the IFA junior competition in 2017 and performed exceptionally well. Thomas has progressed in many other ways and has now has joined the Kayaking section within Lakeland Special Olympics Club. From the early days when he was slightly apprehensive he now attends training with a smile on his face, excited to be able to participate to the best of his ability.
