Senior Team Nominees

Fermanagh Ladies
Fermanagh were coming from ground zero, but they came within an ace of promotion from NFL Division 4, before collecting the Ulster title. After that they surged to the All-Ireland final where Derry took them to a replay, but Fermanagh weren’t to be denied on a memorable day in Clones.

Enniskillen Rangers
The Ball Range men claimed the IFA Junior Cup title for the first time since 1999. They scored 46 goals on their way to the decider, and showed no nerves on the local game’s highest stage, as they hit five more at the National Stadium to get the better of Lurgan outfit, Hill Street.

The tiny Belnaleck club punched way beyond their weight in 2017. First they landed the Fermanagh Junior title at third attempt. They then went on a superb run through Ulster, beating Dundrum and Doire Trasna before coming up just short against Naomh Colmcille in the Ulster final.

Castle Hume Irish Fourball Team
The Castle Hume Irish Fourball Team of Malcolm Branley, Ryan Bell, Ryan Corrigan, Fred Cowan, Mark Masterson, Steven Reid, Paul Holder, Joe Woods, Fergal Lunney and Damian Love brought the Ulster title back to the club in September with a magnificent victory over Rossmore in Lisburn.

Enniskillen Rugby
2017 saw Enniskillen consolidating their place in Division 1 rugby, but the highlight of the season was the club’s run to a second successive Towns Cup final. They chalked up wins over Dungannon II, Ards and Armagh II, but it was final heartache as Ballynahinch II scraped to a 13-17 victory.
