Getting in the spirit of Halloween

As always, there is a jam packed schedule of events throughout Fermanagh for Halloween.
The Enniskillen Superhero Halloween event will begin at 6pm on Halloween night with fancy dress spot prizes, handed out from 7pm,  while the firework display will take place on Castle Island from 8pm.
Kids can also enjoy arts and crafts workshop in the Cosy Corner at Enniskillen Castle. Kids of all ages are welcome and will have fun making creepy crafts for Halloween. The first workshop takes place on Saturday, October 28th from 11am to 4pm. On Halloween, the workshop will also run from 11am to 4pm. Normal admission rates apply.
On Monday 30th October there is A Walk in The Dark pre-Hallowe’en event organised by St. Macartin’s Cathedral Parish, Enniskillen between 7.30pm-9pm visiting some of Enniskillen’s spookiest sites where there will be stories of some grisly and ghoulish tales from local history with the surprise twist of the Christian message about life after death.
For those feeling energetic, the Enniskillen Spooktacular is taking place on Friday night October 27th, ahead of the Halloween celebrations.
 The 5k race starts at Belmore Street and goes on a route around the town, finishing on High Street. Register at St Michael’s Community Hall behind Clinton Centre on Thursday October 26th from 6.30pm to 9pm or on race day from 5 pm to 6.30pm sharp.
Outside of Enniskillen, towns and villages across Fermanagh have lots of spooktacular activities lined up to keep families entertained this Halloween.
A Halloween party takes place in Kinawley Community Centre this Friday at 8pm. It includes a fireworks display, boxty and bacon, optional fancy dress and music and entertainment.
A Halloween Spooktacular at Marble Arch Caves runs this Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 4.30pm. Don your spookiest costume and journey underground on a nail biting, spine tingling, ghoulish tour of the mysterious Marble Arch Caves!
Also on Saturday, head to Castle Archdale for Halloween Fun where a kids disco takes place from 2-4pm followed from 4-6pm by pumpkin carving (bring your own pumpkin). At 6.30pm enjoy a fancy dress torchlight parade, trick or treating and a traditional harvest supper.
On Sunday, join the folks at Florence Court for a day of spooky fun at their Hallowe’en Fest and Craft Fair! There’ll be plenty of spooktacular things to get involved in from 12noon to 6pm. With lots of ghostly activities on offer like craft stalls, live music and face painting, enjoy a fun filled family afternoon or why not take one of the spooky tours too…if you dare!
There’s lots of family fun to be had in Roslea too this Sunday, organised by Roslea Cross-community Playgroup and Derrygannon Rainbow Afterschool Club. A Spooktacular Walk is taking place at 4:30pm, starting at the Community Centre and is suitable for children up to P7. For teenagers and adults who want to come along for their Spooktacular Walk you can assemble at Monaghan Road entrance to Springrove Forest at 8:30pm.
The Aughakillymaude Community Association are holding a big Halloween Party in the Community Centre on Sunday evening from 7-9pm. There’ll be lots of games, a disco, food and organisers are urging everyone to come dressed for the occasion – this also applies to the adults!
Donagh Development Association are holding their annual Halloween activities on Monday next, 30th October, starting with a Spooky underage disco in St Pat’s Clubhouse from 6.30pm-8pm. This will be followed by a fireworks display, bonfire and dancing at the Crossroads at 8pm sharp.
A Halloween walk around the cottage meadow is planned in Belcoo also on Monday night. Those interested should meeting at the Grand Stand at 7pm and young children must be accompanied by parents.
