Woman (64) arrested in Enniskillen drugs search

Cannabis was seized in search of Enniskillen woman’s home

A 64-year-old woman has been arrested in Fermanagh this week as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of cannabis across the North.
The PSNI say that £100,000 worth of the drug was seized in the Enniskillen area on Monday night. The woman was detained on suspicion of a number of offences, including possession of a class B drug and possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.
The local discovery came after two men were arrested in the Donegall Road area of Belfast where around £150,000 worth of cannabis was also found on Monday.
Detective Sergeant McAuley said: “The woman was arrested at a property in Enniskillen on Monday evening as a result of a follow up search following the seizure of £150,000 at a property in the Donegall Road area of Belfast earlier on Monday. A further quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately £100,000 was also seized in Enniskillen.”
Detectives from the PSNI’s Criminal Investigation Branch confirmed this afternoon that they have since charged the trio with a number of drug trafficking offences. All three are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow (Wednesday).
