Pete McGrath resigns as Fermanagh manager

Fermanagh manager Pete McGrath, who has resigned.

Pete McGrath today informed the County chairman, Greg Kelly, he is resigning from the post of Fermanagh senior manager.

The news comes one week after the Fermanagh County Board announced the Rostrevor man had been reappointed as manager for the 2018 season.

McGrath has spent four years at the helm of Fermanagh GAA, in which he gained promotion to Division Two and an All Ireland quarter-final appearance in 2015, when they lost out to Dublin.

McGrath decision’s to step down comes after a disappointing 2017 campaign as his side suffered relegation to Division Three followed by championship defeats at the hands of Monaghan and Armagh
