THE dates and times of Mass, Church services and carol services in the Enniskillen area this Christmas are as follows.
THE PASSIONIST RETREAT, THE GRAAN
“Carols with Caritas” will take place on Friday December 16th at 7pm to 8pm. Donations in lieu of The Ellie Nicholl’s Retreat, built in Ellie’s memory offering breaks for bereaved families. St Michael’s Scout Band will play at the 4pm Mass on Sunday December 18th. They will also play at the Christmas Eve Vigil Mass beginning with carols at 7.30pm in preparation for the blessing of the crib at 7.50pm and Mass at 8pm. Other Christmas Masses will be at 9am, 10.30am and noon on Christmas Day. Confession Time for Christmas will be Monday December 19th to Friday the 23rd from 2pm to 5pm. Christmas Eve confessions will be heard from 1pm to 5pm.
ENNISKILLEN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
There will be two Christmas services at the Enniskillen Presbyterian Church. The Church’s annual carol service will take place on Sunday the 18th at 7pm. The Christmas morning service will take place at 10am.
ROSSORRY PARISH CHURCH
The Rossorry Parish Church has a busy festive season ahead. On Sunday, December 4th there will be Holy Communion at 9am and 11am, and in the evening, “A Quiet Christmas” will be at 7pm. On Sunday December 18th, there will be Holy Communion at 9am followed by a Family Service and Sunday School Nativity Play. That night, there will be a carol service at 7pm. On Christmas Eve, there will be Holy Communion at 10pm, while on Christmas Day , there will be Holy Communion at 10am.
ST MARY’S CHURCH LISBELLAW
Christmas Day Mass will take place at the new time of 9.30am.
ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH, ENNISKILLEN
An Exhibition Concert, by organ students of St Michael’s Parish and presented by the parish organ tutor, Mr Simon Harden will be held on Advent Sunday, November 27th at 7.30pm.
The event will also feature a guest appearance from the parish senior choir. The Parish’s Christmas Bazaar will take place at St Michael’s Parish Community Centre from 5pm to 9pm, with a host of valuable prizes.
Willowbridge Community Carol Service will be held on Sunday December 7th at 6.30pm, beginning in St Macartin’s Cathedral and concluding in St Michael’s Church.
Holy Trinity Primary School Carol Service will be held on Wednesday, December 14th at 7.30pm, while St Michael’s College Carol Service will take place on Thursday, December 15th at 8pm.
Mount Lourdes Carol Service will be held on Friday, December 16th at 2pm.
St Michael’s Church Communal Reconciliation Service will be held on Sunday December 18th at 7.30pm, while the Sacrament of Reconciliation will also be held prior to Christmas and will be notified in the Parish Messenger.
On Christmas Eve, Mass will be held at 9pm. On Christmas Day, there will be three Masses at 8am, 10.30am and 12pm.
ST MACARTIN’S CATHEDRAL
A number of Sunday Evening Advent Sermon Series will be held at St Macartin’s Cathedral. Come and join with Joseph, Mary & the Shepherds as they make their Journey To Bethlehem on November 27th, December 4th and December 11th at 7pm.
A Nativity Service will be held on Sunday 11th December at 11am. Children from each of our Sunday School classes will be taking part and rumour is that Santa Claus may well be coming along as well. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to come along and enjoy the children’s take on The Nativity.
A Carol Service will be held on Wednesday December 7th at 6pm. The Community Carol Service with Willowbridge School which begins in St Macartin’s Cathedral and ends in Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. All are welcome to this community event.
Parish Carol Service will take place on Sunday December 18th at 7pm. The loose collection at the Carol Service will be given towards the Dean of Belfast’s Black Santa Charities. Please give generously.
Holy Communion on Christmas Eve at 11pm, with the celebrant, The Bishop, Rt Rev John Mc Dowell and Preacher, Rev Darren Thompson (Methodist Church).
Holy Communion on Christmas Day at 9am, with celebrant, The Dean, Very Rev K R J Hall.
There will also be Holy Communion and Family Service, at 10.30am with The Dean, Very Rev K R J Hall. It is hoped that as many families as possible will attend the 10.30am service. All ages are welcome and children are asked to bring with them something that Santa brought (adults can do this too!). The Dean and Curate will take a walk about to view the toys!
