Congratulations to Dale Ebbitt of The TapHouse, who won this year’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Dale Ebbitt – The TapHouse
In July 2015 Dale Ebbitt launched The TapHouse Gastropub having accrued immense experience in the food & hospitality industry since the age of 13! During his career Dale has worked with many hotels in Fermanagh and through this experience and by using local supplier relationships he has created a new business that prides itself on using as much fresh locally-sourced produce as possible.
Dale has created a new brand, built up a dedicated team of people and is responsible for one of Fermanagh’s latest success stories.

Patrick Donnelly – ABSolute Physio
ABSolute Physio was established in 2013 by husband and wife team Patrick and Grainne Donnelly with the goal of providing outstanding physiotherapy care specialising in musculoskeletal and sports physio work. Both Patrick and Grainne participated in extensive post graduate training to ensure continuous development and as a result have many clients from throughout Ireland.
With plans in place to convert their current practice into a larger space creating more job opportunities, Patrick and Grainner are also aiming to open a multi treatment room complex.
Cathal Crudden – TechDoc
Technology orientated business TechDoc, primarily offers gadget same day repair services to the general public and education sector. Cathal Crudden started up with a £4,000 loan in Enniskillen and has grown the business opening stores in Omagh & Sligo.
Employing 5 full time and 3 part-time members of staff in his Enniskillen store, Cathal is constantly looking to the future and would like to see his business franchised, growing his staff number with the main repair centre remaining in Enniskillen.
David Burleigh – Fishing Tackle & Bait
Having taken over Fishing Tackle & Bait in 2011, David Burleigh has trebled the turnover. The store sells all types of fishing products to the thriving Fermanagh market and worldwide via their e-commerce platforms with 75% of his sales via the word wide web.
David has ambitious plan as he hopes to double his business turnover and staffing levels within 5 years and is considering purchasing a warehouse to deal with the online sales side of his business, which has the potential to grow exponentially.
Claire Perez- Fable Heart
Former teacher Claire Perez is the driving force behind Fable Heart, a design and manufacture business which hand-makes high quality dress-up clothing and accessory items for children. Claire has grown the business from a ‘small at home project’ to a global online business with a store in Enniskillen, and the vision is to encourage children away from technology and into imaginative play.
The business has a five year plan and aims to open a second store, continued expansion of their range along with increasing the workforce.
