Bishop Daly helps clear a path for a man badly injured during Bloody Sunday in Derry

THE Archbishop of Armagh, Eamon Martin has led tributes to Belleek-born Bishop Edward Daly who died on Monday following a short illness. He was 82.

Political leaders north and south added their voice. The North’s First Minister, the DUP’s Arlene Foster said that during the darker moments of our recent past, Dr Daly had made a significant contribution by arguing that violence should be rejected.
