Ballinamallard United held its Annual Youth Team awards in the Westville Hotel on Sunday evening.
The main award was again the presentation of the highly respected Greg Turley Memorial Cup. Youth Chairman, Mervyn Smyth reminded the well attended function of Greg’s contribution to the Club at both youth and senior level prior to his untimely death in 1999.
The cup, donated by the Turley family, is presented each year to a youth player who has played at all ages in the club’s youth section and has consistently demonstrated the highest levels of sportsmanship and integrity, combined with good temperament, attitude and respect for others.
The announcement that this year’s winner was Luke Henderson was met with warm and generous applause confirming a popular choice.
