Man who died in Kesh crash named

A MAN in his 50s has died following a two-vehicle crash in Kesh today, (Wednesday, June 10).

He has been named as John Forsythe, a native of Castlederg, who had been living in Kesh. John owned Forsythe’s Take Away in Castlederg.

A woman was also taken to hospital after the incident. Her condition has been described as stable.

Emergency services confirmed that they attended a ‘serious’ two-vehicle crash and that the Manoo Road in Kesh has been closed.

DUP Kesh Councillor David Mahon told the Fermanagh Herald that a person has died as a result of the crash.

“I understand there was fatal road collision on the Manoo Road, Kesh. I understand a person has died as a result and my thoughts are with all those involved,” he said.

Later on Wednesday evening, a PSNI spokesman confirmed: “A man in his 50’s had died as a result of a RTC on the Manoo Rd, Kesh this evening. The road remains closed.”
