LATEST: Seven dogs and six pups dead in Clabby fire

A FIRE at a shed in Clabby last night (Saturday, April 18), has resulted in the death of seven dogs and and six pups, police have said.

The incident took place at around 8pm last night in the Drumcor Road area of Clabby.

It is being linked by police to a suspicious object found near Furnish Kennels on Friday. This was later declared ‘nothing untoward’.

Chief Inspector Graham Dodds said: “Investigations are ongoing this morning to establish if the fire was started deliberately or not.”

He added: “To ensure the protection of the public, there will be increased police patrols in the area. I would ask anyone with any information on this to contact Enniskillen Police Station on the non emergency number 101.”
