LATEST: Arson attack at Quinn Cement

Police car are appealing for information

POLICE are investigating an arson attack near the former Quinn cement premises outside Derrylin.

Police attended the report of an incident of arson at commercial premises in the Ballyconnell Road area of Derrylin on the evening of Tuesday 20 January.

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Foster said: “At approximately 8.20pm, it was reported that an articulated lorry was on fire at the premises.

“At this time investigations are continuing though I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact CID at Enniskillen Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
