Students given taste of work at South West Acute

SWAH info evening for local prospective medical/dental students

LOCAL students were given the chance to experience working life in the South West Acute Hospital last week.

The event, which took place on Wednesday 24 September in the Medical Education Centre at South West Acute Hospital was a careers event for students who are contemplating a career in medicine and dental.

Over 50 prospective medical and dental students in Year 14 came from across the Tyrone & Fermanagh area, including Collegiate Grammar School, St Michael’s College, Portora Royal School, Fivemiletown College and Mount Lourdes Grammar.

To assist students make decisions about their future careers, they were given the opportunity to talk to and interact with medical professionals.
