Milk Cup: Heavy second day defeats for Fermanagh

LOOKING AHEAD... Ronan Beattie

GOAL… Ronan Beattie

Fermanagh suffered two heavy defeats in the second day of the Milk Cup today (Tuesday, July 29).

The juniors took on Tyrone at Scroggy Road, and while the game was deadlocked at 1-1 for a point, Fermanagh eventually lost 3-1 to the neighbouring county.

Captain Ronan Beattie was the goalscorer for Fermanagh.

In the premier section, it was a rampant Brentford who took the spoils against Fermanagh in Portrush.

The English side came out 5-0 victors. It was a disappointing result for the side who, yesterday (Monday, July 28), drew 1-1 with Tyrone.

The juniors are in action tomorrow (Wednesday, July 30) against Everton at the Ballymena Showgorunds, with kick-off 3.30pm. The seniors, meanwhile, will play Lusaka Academy at 8pm in the same venue.
