IT HAS been 10 months since Nollaig O’Connor from Enniskillen went missing and both police and her family remain anxious to hear from her.

In the latest development police in Devon and Cornwall have taken over the investigation to find Nollaig, missing since May 31, 2013.

Nollaig is a daughter of Patricia (Belnaleck) and Bernard, and a sister of Philip, Nuala, Maire, Sinead, Erian, Aine and Meabh.

She has been missing since the end of May last year, when she was spotted on CCTV in Cornwall.

She had been living in Aberdeen, but was last spotted on CCTV in Cornwall on May 31 last year.
Police in Devon and Cornwall are asking for the public’s help in tracing the musician. Enquiries were carried out initially by police in Scotland but have now been passed on.

Nollaig is a keen musician and busker, with officers saying she likes to travel around, often playing music in churches. She plays the violin, guitar and the tin whistle.

Detective Inspector from Cornwall Police Sharon Donald said: “We are working closely with Nollaig’s family to try and determine her whereabouts.

“We want to appeal to the public to try and trace Nollaig’s movements – particularly the music community in the Porthtowan and Truro areas where she was last seen.

She is described as white female, aged 37, hazel eyes, ginger hair, 5’4” tall, slim build and has a feint tattoo of a Celtic cross in the middle of her forehead which may be obscured by a fringe.

Sister Aine O’Connor was in Cornwall two weeks ago and spoke to local police and people who knew Nollaig in the area.

“I went around and spoke to ones that met her at the time, put up posters and went around churches.
“It was just about looking for people who had spoken to her before she left that area.”

She continued: “Cornwall police do seem pretty active and now we’re just waiting on an update.

“There is nothing as yet though, we’re no further on that’s the long and short of it, but we remain hopeful.

“It is frustrating the fact that we don’t have any news at this point, but we’re trying our best and Devon and Cornwall police are re-looking at the stuff the Scottish police did so we are hoping for some good news.”

Aine renewed the appeal for information urging local people to use social media to share Nollaig’s story.

“I really hope local people can continue to share it, because one person who has never seen it could be the key.
“I would ask people again to keep sharing it that hopefully somewhere we will get something.”
