MOVING ON… Andy Little

GLASGOW Rangers footballer Andy Little will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old from Enniskillen has been informed he is no longer part of manager’s Ally McCoist’s plans and will leave in the summer when his contract expires.

The announcement ends an eight year spell with the Scottish club for Little.

The seven time Northern Ireland International joined the Rangers Academy from Ballinamallard United back in 2006 and graduated up the ranks to play for the first team.

In 65 first team appearances Little scored 33 goals.

In the 2011 season Little also had a spell at Port Vale on loan where he made seven appearances.

This season the former Portora student’s career has stalled due to injuries and he will hope to make a fresh start at a new club and add to his international tally.

Little tweeted: “It has been the best 8 yrs of my life. Being a Ranger has been an honour + I’ll be one ’til the day I die. Thank you to all at the club.”

Andy Little has made a move which should help revive his playing fortunes in the professional ranks.
