Father-of-two dies on fire-fighting duty

A FATHER-of-two from Enniskillen has died while on fire-fighting duty.

Nial Hamilton (44), who lived in the town, was working for the fire service in Lurgan on Monday night when he collapsed at the scene of the fire.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, and two young children, Alex and Rory.

On Monday night, Nial was among those called out to deal with a car fire, and shortly after the fire had been brought under control, he collapsed.

The circumstances of his death are currently being investigated and a post mortem is being carried out to determine the cause of his death.
