HUBBLE Bubble, which is ran by a Belleek couple, sells hand-crafted cosmetics, herbal treatment and remedies for all types of ailments.
Polly Wolf, her husband Tom, and daughter Luccia are all medical herbalists, producing handmade herbal remedies for different conditions as well as making their own cosmetics for everyday use.
Most of their ingredients and materials are soured from Asian countries including Japan and China as well as South American countries and Australia and New Zealand.
The family’s produce is made using organic oils and base herbs to create creams, lotions, soaps, infusions, wax and shampoos, pretty much everything you need and use in our everyday life.
I was instantly drawn to the organic cosmetics which ranges from lip balm, moisturiser, face soap and shampoo.
I changed my nightly cleansing ritual for over a week to try out the organic dragon’s blood (don’t let that put you off) soap face wash and the dragon’s blood moisturiser.
The soap contains so many ingredients including wild-harvested honey, sun-infused organic calendula, rosehip and argan oil with beeswax and orange essential oil. I loved this soap, it’s a brilliant cleanser and the seeds inside the soap act as a great exfoliator. My skin cleared up after a few days and it definitely made an improvement to my complexion. Priced at £15, I definitely be purchasing again.
The moisturiser contains the dragon’s blood, which comes from a tree found in the Amazon rainforest, as well as the same ingredients found in the soap but with camomile and lavender as extras. It feels like I was applying a lump of wax to my skin so I used very little, which Polly advises.
Although I did like the results of this product, it took a long time for it to dry in to my skin which can be time consuming in the evenings so it definitely can’t be used as a morning moisturiser.
Priced at £12 per 15ml, it’s worth trying.
This year, HubbleBubble say they will be opening their doors to the NHS and private referrals, so who knows your next sickness remedy or prescription could be soured from the Amazon or bees of China.
