Major new pitch project nearing completion

New pitch at bawnacre
MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS are underway at the Bawnacre Centre in Irvinestown.

The centre will soon be home to the county’s first full-size Gaelic and multi-sports flood-lit 3G pitch, which is to open in the new year.

Permanent posts for Gaelic sports will be erected on the pitch and it is hoped that there could be a revival of hurling and camogie in the area.

All facilities at the Bawnacre Centre, Irvinestown will be closed on Monday of next week, December 9, from 9am until 5pm to facilitate the installation of additional electrical equipment for project.
