Whitey Anderson knows there are no easy games

Anyone under the illusion that Saturday’s game against Ards will be easier than last week’s against Linfield, need to think again, according to Ballinamallard manager Whitey Anderson.

Anderson is preparing for just as tough a battle when his travels this weekend looking to pick up three points.

“I know Niall Currie will have his side committed and organised.

“On their home pitch they will be looking to get points on the board and it will be extremely difficult for us,” he said.
He know his players must show commitment right from the start and earn the right to play.”

“Once they cross over that line they must be competitive,” said Anderson.

“But I have to give them credit for the past two weeks. They have shown a great desire and commitment and there is a positive attitude about the camp.”

All last week’s squad is fit for the trip to Ards and Duwayne McManus, who performed with the Reserves last week is likely to be back in contention.

Full back Mark McConkey came through  Saturday and could be considered for a start, while Nigel Beacom will play with the Reserves this weekend to try to get back to full fitness.

Midfielder James McKenna who has been out for several weeks is due receive an injection for his injury this week and could be back training in a week or 10 days.

Anderson believes that in two weeks he should have a clean bill of health for everyone in terms of players coming back from injury.

“Something like that will give a huge boost and everyone will be fighting for places,” he said.

He knows that every game in the league is difficult this time around – Linfield, Ards, whoever it is, they are all difficult.

“The game against Ards will be every bit as difficult as the Linfield one..

“We must go into every game as a battle to win every point. That are all vital to us and I am sure we will pick up plenty more points as the season progresses,”said the Ballinamallard manager.
