Police are treating the case as a sectarian hate crime

Police in Enniskillen are appealing for information about an assault in the town on Sunday 4 August.

Shortly before 5pm an 18-year-old man was assaulted in the Poppers Hill, Cornagrade area of the town by two males who then stole his shoes.

Two men aged 22 and 23 were later arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and robbery and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police are treating this as a sectarian hate crime and are keen to talk to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. The number to ring is 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information may be passed on anonymously via the Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
