SHOUTING ‘Up the Ra’ at police has cost an Enniskillen man £200.

Around 8.45pm on St Patrick’s Day (March 17) police were on foot patrol in the Diamond in Enniskillen when Lee Carty (25) from Drumbawn Close, Drumclay walked past them and shouted ‘Up the Ra’.

There were about 40 people in the area at the time. The defendant was cautioned for disorderly behaviour and made no reply.

No one else complained to police about the defendant’s behaviour. He was fined when he appeared before Fermanagh Magistrates Court.
