Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious

Police in Enniskillen are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in the Castlecoole area on the evening of Friday 29 March.

The man has been named locally as Leslie Acheson, late of Ballinamallard.

UUP MLA, Tom Elliott, described Mr Acheson as a ‘popular man’.

“I’ve known him for a very long time, and went to school with him. He was a very popular man, and ran a good business.

“It’s very sad for the family and our thoughts are with them at this time.”

Mr Acheson’s funeral is due to take place in St Michael’s Church, Trory, today (Tuesday) at 1pm, followed by burial in Greenhill Cemetery, Omagh.

At this stage, police are not treating the death as suspicious.
