Relax and enjoy a ‘Night at the Movies’

Fermanagh Concert Band

Fermanagh Concert Band, under the baton of David Baxter, who have brought concerts such as ‘Good Company at Candlemas’ and ‘Twelfth Night’ to local venues in the past, are inviting you to sit back, relax and enjoy a Night at the Movies, at Enniskillen Library, on Friday 22 March at 8 pm.

Don’t expect absolute relaxation, however, because every good film keeps you on the edge of your seat now and again!

That’s why the musicians will entertain you with everything from ‘Luftwaffe March’ from Battle of Britain and ‘Goldfinger’ from James Bond, to lighter numbers such as ‘Moon River’ from Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the sun-scorched earth sounds of ‘Once upon at time in the West’, as well as a number of children’s favourites.

Whilst music will be at the heart of the evening, behind-the-scenes work will ensure that the phrase ‘lights, camera, action’ is fulfilled in its truest sense.

Scenes from films will be projected as the band plays and lighting will add to the atmosphere. The concert will feature comedy sketches and other dramatic elements such as costume, led by the young members of the audience, who are invited to dress up and parade as their favourite cartoon characters whilst ‘The Cartoon Symphony’ is played.

Also making an appearance will be members of Erne Integrated College Chamber Choir who will sing songs such as ‘Hard Times’ from Swanee River and ‘Lollipop’ from Stand by Me.

So come along for A Night at the Movies, brought to life.

Tickets are available online at www.fermanaghconcertband.com/tickets, through their Facebook page, from KB Music, Queen Street, Enniskillen, during shop hours, or at the door on the night.
