A NEW exhibition of multimedia prints by award-winning artist Mary Martin opened at The Higher Bridges Gallery on Friday past.  ‘Witness’, a collection of Mary Martin’s new work, was inspired by a recent visit to the Algarve in Portugal where she watched how the ocean pounded the sandstone cliffs to create holes and cavities in areas of weakness.

Mary, who hails from South Armagh, was awarded the Turner Prize for Drawing by the University of Ulster in 2007. Her paintings and prints have been exhibited in Ireland, Canada and Bulgaria and are included in private and public collections in the University of Ulster and the Department of the Environment.

Witness opened last Friday March 1 at 8pm in The Higher Bridges Gallery, Clinton Centre, Enniskillen, and continues until Saturday March 23. Admission is free.
