DERRYLIN-BORN rocker, Pat McManus will be stopping off in Enniskillen this week for the first time in close to six months when he plays in Charlie’s Bar on Friday night.
Along with his band, The Pat McManus Band, Pat is likely to pull a similar crowd to that of a packed-out Bush Bar in October of last year at the Fermanagh Live (FLive) festival.
Pat takes the lead vocals with the band, as well as guitar, fiddle – and whatever else he can get his hands on. Paul Faloon plays drums, while Marty McDermott plays bass.
Support will come in the form of Fermanagh and Belfast-based band Yellow Car No Return, featuring Paul Gallagher on Drums, Eoin Parkinson on guitar, and Luke Burns on vocals and bass.
Of the supporting role, drummer Paul commented:
“We’re all big fans first and foremost, and even just seeing Pat play is awesome. To be given the opportunity to share the stage with him like this is really quite unique and exciting. We opened for him last year as part of ‘FLive’ and to be asked to do it again is just fantastic.”
He added: “I think it’s interesting, especially for someone like Eoin, that one of the best guitarists in the world is from down the road. And it’s that that makes playing with Pat in our hometown so special.”
Pat himself is also looking forward to the night.
“It’s great to be back once more in my home town this Friday at Charlie’s and ready to get the weekend off to a rockin’ start,” he said.
Patrons are encouraged to be there at 9pm to catch both acts.
