The pupils of Key Stage Two at Kesh Primary School are getting ready to perform their Panto spectacular “Cinders” on stage on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th February at 7.30p.m.

The production is a mix of modern dance and song which complements the traditional tale.  Will Cinders end up with Prince Charming or will Buttons steal her heart?

How will the Fairy Godmother manage to get Cinders to the Ball in one piece? Which Ugly sister will be left on the shelf?

All the children have a part to play with the Year 7 pupils taking on the spoken word and acting while Year 5 and Year 6 prepare to wow the audience with some fantastic dance routines including “The Wagon Wheelers” and “Price Taggers”.

Jill Parkinson, Principal, has commented “It is exciting to be producing a pantomime again in Kesh Primary School.
So far it has been a very rewarding experience for both the pupils and staff.  The pupils have all been involved in choosing the music and dance routines so it has a really modern twist and the children have a great sense of ownership of the production.”

Ms Parkinson went on to thank all those who have been involved so far in preparation for the Panto including those painting back-drops, sewing costumes, organising props, sound and lighting.

The Panto promises to be a fun-filled event for all the family with plenty of music, dancing, laughs and a sprinkling of magic gone wrong!! Tickets for “Cinders” are available at the School Office at the cost of £3 per Adult and £2 (Primary School Children).
