Ciara back on The Voice

FULL VOICE. . . Enniskillen’s Ciara Cox, who will be back on our screens

ENNISKILLEN MUSICIAN Ciara Cox will ‘battle’ it out tonight for a place at the live shows on Rte show, ‘The Voice’.

Readers will remember that Ciara made it through the ‘Blind’ auditions on the show a month ago and became a member of Team Sharon Corr.

At the ‘battle’ stages, however, coaches must halve their ranks, pitting singer against singer in a music duel to secure a coveted spot on the live shows which begin on March 17.

Sharon Corr has 13 acts, which means that, in one case, a three-way sing off will take place, as only six acts can progress further in the competition.

Ciara (29) has been involved in music as a singer songwriter for 15 years and currently travels the length and breadth of the country as the lead singer for popular Enniskillen cover band, ‘Shakedown’.

She hopes to be successful and make it further in the competition, but acknowledges she faces a difficult proposition in the form of her talented team-mates.

“I really hope I can make it far, but at the same time the competition is so difficult, really, it is the best of the best. I don’t know how I will get on, but sure I’ll give it a good shot.”

Ciara will appear on The Voice of Ireland tonight at 6.30pm on Rte One. To support Ciara you can follow her on twitter @coxtail_soup  or on facebook at www.facebook.com/officialciaracox.
