Devine Associates

Devine Associates provide services to the renewable energy industry which includes designing, building, operating and maintaining landfill gas systems.

There are two systems installed at Fermanagh and Omagh council sites, one at the former Glassmullagh landfill site and the other more recent installation is at Drummee Integrated Waste Management facility. Both projects are innovative for Fermanagh as prior to this the landfill gas was wasted through flaring.

 


 

BKN Upcycling

BKN Upcycling works with individuals who are coping with mental ill health, providing one to one support, training and education. It provides an opportunity for those who are ready for the next step on their recovery journey.

It helps them develop new and existing skills and increase confidence. They upcycle old furniture into high quality unique items and recently have begun bespoke work for customers.

 


 

Green Sword Environmental

Green Sword’s microbial product cleans by reducing surface tensions which hold dirt and debris to surfaces. It has developed an oil degrading product and a hard surface cleaning product and offers an oil spill bio-remediation clean up service.

The benefits ensure a toxin free environment, safe to use and cost saving of up to 40 per cent over traditional dig out or back-fill approach.

 


 

Balcas Timber

Keen to develop an alternative use of its sawmill company products that utilized their environmental credentials leading timber products supplier Balcas has pioneered biomass renewable energy in the United Kingdom.

100 per cent of its raw material is from renewable and sustainability managed forests in Ireland. By building a CHP plant using its own sawmill co products, BTL is now a net generator of green electricity. Balcas’s wood pellets now displace more than 100 million litres of oil use for heating in the UK.
