Youth Team Nominees

Enniskillen Gaels minors
Enniskillen Gaels won a third Fermanagh title over the summer to secure a third crack at claiming the Ulster title. They started in style, wiping out Ramor United of Cavan before grinding out a semi-final win over St Eunan’s. On New Year’s Day they beat Ballinascreen to reach the promised land.

Ballinamallard United u11s
Ballinamallard United u11s won the 7-a-side Barcelona Cup over a two day tournament in Spain. Wins over Semente Futura Yoorin, Syngenta Colts, Tips White, Tarleton Corinthians FC and Lourdes Celtic put them into the final where they defeated Finland’s Tips Whites 2-1 to claim the Barcelona Cup.

Enniskillen Athletic u14s
Athletic u14s finished the year as Mid-Ulster Youth League Cup and Plate champions. In the cup they beat Armagh City 3-2 in quarter-finals, ending a 46 game unbeaten run for the Orchard men before defeating Magherafelt Sky Blues 3-2 in the final, winning a first ever Mid Ulster title for the club.

Fermanagh SuperCupNI Premiers
Fermanagh Premiers enjoyed their best outing in recent years at the SuperCupNI. A 3-2 win over Down put them into the Vase competition. There they recorded a 2-1 victory against French outfit Vendee to reach the final. That finished 1-1 after extra-time GPS Bayern winning 3-4 on penalties.

Ballinamallard United u19s
Derek Sharpe’s Ballinamallard United u19s had a great run to the Harry Cavan Youth Cup final. They romped past Lisbellaw before defeating Dungannon Swifts 3-2 on their own turf. Victory over Mountjoy Utd put them into the final, but a strong Linfield were a bridge to far on the big day.
