St Michael’s Athletics
St Michael’s Cross Country year started at the Antrim International where they won u13 team silver and u20 team bronze. At the District E Cross Country Championships meet at Cookstown they won the senior boys, junior boys and minor boys categories. At the Ulster Schools Cross Country Championship finals the school claimed Senior boys bronze and Junior boys silver.
Enniskillen Boat Club
The club started the year with ten golds, four silvers and two bronzes
at the Irish Indoor Rowing Championships and it only went upwards from
there. The boys J16 won the Craig Cup while the girls J16 8 scooped
Kennedy Cup. The year finished with a 53 strong contingent travelling
to Cork for the Irish National Rowing Championships and winning a
record 11 national titles.
St Paul’s GAA/Soccer
It was a bumper year of silverware for St Paul’s Irvinestown. Among the competitions the school won were the Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Football boys final, the Cumann na mBunscol INTO Mini Sevens county and the Division 1 Boys Cumann na Bunscol title which they clinched on a 5-3 to 3-3 scoreline against St Mary’s PS Maguiresbridge in a great final in Brewster Park.
Enniskillen Royal Rugby
Enniskillen Royal Medallions took the Medallion Bowl title, and did so in convincing fashion. In the quarter-final they saw off Ballymena 29-3 before whitewashing Coleraine Grammar 17-0 in the semi-final. Down High were the final opposition in Dungannon, but the Fermanagh lads were in uncompromising mood and they demolished the Downpatrick side 31-3 to storm to the title.
