BREAKING: Man charged with murder of Luna McKinney



A 41 year old man has been charged with the murder of Luna McKinney.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Serious Crime Branch arrested the man in Derry on Thursday.


Luna McKinney, a mother-of-two, drowned while holidaying with her family at Devenish Island on April 13th.

The male has also been charged with Possession of a Class C controlled drug. He will appear in Omagh Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Tuesday).

Stephen McKinney was remanded in custody to appear at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court by video-link on Monday next, December 11th.
