Famous Graan Novena starts tonight

THE Novena of Hope at St Gabriel’s Retreat, the Graan begins on this evening , Saturday March 18th, with 6.30pm Mass and continues each day until Monday 27th March.
Fr Brian D’Arcy, Rector of the Graan, will preach at the opening Mass and the 9am on Sunday 19th before welcoming back his friend Christy Kenneally to speak at the 10.30am, 12noon and 4pm Masses.
This year’s Novena features with some of the best known speakers in Ireland. Fermanagh GAA manager Peter McGrath and Tipperary hurling legend John Leahy, television personalities Mary Kennedy from RTE, Declan Coyle, Fr Denis Crosby and Jim Breen as well as local guests Bishop John McDowell and musician Helena Connolly.
The Novena continues on Monday 20th with Mass at 12.30 and 7.30pm when former teacher and Fermanagh GAA manager Peter McGrath will speak.
The week continues with a special day of Reconciliation with Fr Denis Crosby. He is the compassionate Pastor of Liscannor Parish in Co Clare. There will be a team of priests at 12.30 and 7.30pm to facilitate reconciliation.
The speaker on Wednesday 22nd at 11am and 7.30pm will be hurling star John Leahy, who had addiction issues but is now a drugs education Officer.
Fr Brian will be the celebrant at the additional service dedicated to the sick who will be welcomed for a special Mass of healing and anointing.
