UPDATE: Man dies in one vehicle road crash at Lisbellaw

Police have confirmed that a man in his 30s has died following a crash in Lisbellaw yesterday evening.

The man was the driver of a red Volkswagen car which was involved in the collision that occurred at Fortview Park at around 5pm.

The Tattymacall Road had been closed to traffic at Weavers Lane following the collision.

The PSNI have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 101. 

Meanwhile the funeral takes place today of Patrick James (Packie) McGeough from Carraberra, Smithboro in Co. Monaghan who died following a two car crash near Newtownbutler on Saturday afternoon.

The crash involving a Silver Audi A4 and a red Ford Escort happened on the A3 Cavan Road at around 2.25pm. It’s believed that the 79-year-old was on his way from the Clogher market, which he attended weekly, when he lost his life.
