SPAR Lakeside have revealed a complete new store upgrade as a result of a major investment in the store which is situated on Queen Street, Enniskillen. The new-look store is run by Peter McBride who has owned and operated the Lakeside site for almost 23 years.

The store has been completely changed as result of this investment and the hard work of the store’s dedicated team, and now can offer customers exciting new features on top of the comprehensive range of locally sourced products.

The 24-hour site has introduced RELISH, a new deli concept unique to McBride’s. Perfectly suited to today’s busy lifestyles, RELISH offers a wide range of hot and cold subs, paninis, wraps, salads and sandwiches along with a grab and go hot food selection that caters for both modern and traditional tastes.

Only the freshest, quality, local produce has been selected for the range using artisan breads and in-store cooked meats. Another new feature of the store is the introduction of an “ICE” off-licence. Part of an off-licence group, also unique to McBride’s, this area within the store boasts a dedicated glass fronted chill room to ensure the coldest beers and widest range of chilled wines. There is an extensive range of wines to suit all tastes and budgets, along with a comprehensive range of spirits.

Another unique offering and new to the store is the range of PRIME Meats from McBride’s Meat Company based at their Sligo Road SPAR. With a ‘3 for £10’ promotion across the range, PRIME offers every day great value on local, quality meats.

Peter McBride commented; “I am delighted to be relaunching the new look SPAR Lakeside 24hour. This considerable investment will enable us to serve our local community for another 23 years! Everything was changed in the store, in addition to new offices, staff facilities, and customer toilets. “We invested heavily in the latest energy saving technology, from the LED shop lighting to the refrigeration pack system which is monitored 24 hours a day. Despite having more lighting and refrigeration, I am confident that our energy consumption will be significantly less than it was previously.

With the increase in our chill space, we are now able to offer a more comprehensive and competitively priced range of dairy products and fresh produce. Our new “Relish” deli will offer a service we were lacking in previously, and our fabulous new off licence “ICE” will offer the widest possible range all at competitive prices.

We re-worked and modernised the forecourt, with new tanks and pumps, and extended our relationship with Maxol, one of the strongest forecourt brands in Ireland. We sincerely hope that our customers love what we’ve done at Lakeside, and our team, lead by Daryl Moohan, look forward to welcoming all our customers, new and old, to the all-new SPAR at Lakeside!”
