A MAN who burgled a Fermanagh gym over a year ago has had his sentencing adjourned in for a probation report.

Jason Mallaby (20) of Ballinderry Gardens, Lisburn pleaded guilty to burglary at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday after he entered Total Rebuild Gym in Lisnaskea on November 24, 2014 and stole an iPod and £350 in cash from the gym’s till.

The court heard it was a number of weeks later before the owner of the gym was made aware of the identity of culprit, Mallaby, and both the cash and iPod were then recovered.

When interviewed by police Mallaby admitted he had been on legal highs at the time of the offence.

District Judge Nigel Broderick said Mallaby’s background, particularly regarding legal highs, needed to be addressed, and adjourned the case for five weeks in order to give probation services time to carry out a pre-sentence report.
