8 Products Guaranteed to get you Spring Ready

erneside-nicole

I was originally a winter lover, preferring to snuggle up in mounds of blankets and wooly jumpers, but this year I find myself exceptionally excited for spring and everything that comes with it.

I’m not sure if it’s the brighter mornings or the slightly warmer weather but I’m full of the joys of life and can’t wait to get myself all spring ready.

Spring and summer are in my opinion, all about glowy skin and makeup, fresh, floral scents and less layers of clothing. Here are some of the things I’ll be picking up for this season.

Long Handled Body Brush – Marks & Spencer £10Screen shot 2016-03-11 at 13.00.12

I am way lazier than I should be with this, but I can’t stress enough how this is literally the holy grail of beauty products. Brush your body before your morning shower with strokes always moving towards the heart. Start with the soles of your feet and work your way upwards paying special attention to any dimply areas. This will move lymph fluid along, which will detox your body, your cellulite will decrease massively and your skin will be baby smooth.

This stuff is amazing, after using it once my skin feels smoother and cleaner than with any other product I’ve ever used. The charcoal draws out twice as many impurities as anything else and I can tell you this is no gimmick. My skin is clean and bright and I really noticed a difference after using it once.

L’Oreal Infallible Sculpt foundation – Superdrug £8.99Screen shot 2016-03-11 at 13.04.28

This is L’Oreal’s latest offering to the foundation world. If you’re a fan of their infallible foundation then you will love this! Very blendable, it builds and layers easily so it can give you the perfect coverage whether you prefer a sheer or heavier finish. There’s a full range of sculpt products to complement the foundation including brushes and powders so get creative.

GOSH Lumi Drops – Superdrug £7.99

This liquid highlighter can be mixed in with your foundation to give you a really glowy and luminous base, or can be used alone. Blend the drops (you only need a few) onto your cheekbones, down your nose and across the middle of your forehead for a healthy glow. The drops come in 3 shades to suit every skin tone, and they can be used all over the body, try them on your legs or across your collar bone.

Coco Brown 1 hour tanning mousse – Cara Pharmacy £5.30

I’ve tried almost every tan there is, and I really think this is my favourite. It always finishes streak free no matter how roughly I slap it on, it doesn’t dry my skin out and once you’ve showered it doesn’t smell. I mean it actually doesn’t smell, unlike a lot of other tans that claim to have no smell and quite clearly do. It’s so affordable and it comes in a darker shade if you prefer a more intense colour.

I was lusting after this pricey little package for ages and eventually I just thought to hell with it and bought it. I’m so glad I did because it is a little bottle that packs a big punch. The skin around my eyes is much smoother and tighter, so no more bags or dark circles, and my lashes look much fuller. I look more awake and my eyes are brighter and clearer so definitely worth it as far as I’m concerned.

St Moriz Instant Tan Body Original, – Semi-Chem £2.99Screen shot 2016-03-11 at 13.14.10

There are times when I haven’t had time to tan or I’m just too lazy to do it, or maybe my legs haven’t come up dark enough. When any of those situations arise I always reach for this instant tan. It blends really easily, even in disaster areas like elbows and knees and it’s under a fiver. I find the St Moriz mousse can go a bit green on my skin but this colour is a lovely natural bronze.

I love Next fragrances for every day wear because they’re so affordable and some of them are actually gorgeous. This ‘Floral Bloom’ one is their most recent release and it’s wonderfully fresh for spring. At £12 for 100ml it really is a bargain, plus it’s eau de parfum so it’ll last all day. Although with a prize like that you can spritz to your heart’s content.
