Adult ADHD NI

A community interest company (CIC), Adult ADHD NI offers one to one support to adults and family members affected by ADHD. They support individuals to help reduce symptoms, reduce isolation and stigma attached to the condition as well as signpost to other organisations when appropriate. They empower individuals to gain education, find and maintain employment; they also offer volunteer opportunities and support people to have a positive impact within the community. The company uses volunteers to facilitate community focused support ensuring the primary objective of positive social impact is achieved.

Cancer Connect NI

A County Fermanagh based charity, Cancer Connect NI provides a range of crucial services for individuals affected by cancer and have 11 key volunteers who run the centre 5 days a week. Cancer Connect NI is totally dependent on generating new income streams through donations from across the community. The charity has expanded from running innovative fundraising events and activities to now generating income via holding the likes of fundraising auctions and recycling collections. With so many individual and families affected, Cancer Connect NI provides a crucial service and is extremely well supported by the community.

Kindertree Community Playgroup

Based in Derrylin, Kindertree Community Playgroup is a pre-school educational centre for 3 to 4 year olds. With over 30 years experience in caring for children, the Playgroup offers curriculum based care in a purpose built setting. As well as running a morning session they also run afternoon sessions to cater for demand. Feedback from users is very positive as the enterprise prepares children to progress into primary school level. Kindertree helps to provide a valuable service to a rural community and a positive learning environment for children, as well as helping to develop community relations.

Little Treasures Playgroup

Located in a purpose built facility in the centre of Kinawley, Little Treasures Playgroup is a cross-community initiative, which was established in 1988 to provide pre-school education to children aged 3 to 4 years. Recently celebrating their 25th anniversary, the Playgroup has had a very successful period, with high numbers availing of the service. Income for the playgroup comes from a range of sources including a contract with the Education Authority to help fund children’s places. Little Treasures has established an excellent working relationship with local primary schools, opening up new lines of communication and schemes.
