Six arrested after Derrylin burglary

Six people were arrested, two vehicles were seized and a quantity of suspected stolen property was seized on Thursday 20 August following a report of burglary at a house in the Teemore Road area of Derrylin.

Just after 10.20pm, police received a report of suspicious activity in the area. On attendance, this was confirmed as a burglary and local residents assisted police in identifying those responsible.

Sergeant Darren Fox said: “All six people were arrested on suspicion of burglary. Two men aged 20 and 18, and two females aged 17 and 16, were later released pending a report being sent to the PPS. Two men aged 23 and 20 were later released on bail pending further enquiries.

“I would like to thank the local residents who assisted us with this incident. It was their information that was vital in these arrests happening.”
