The u-9s and 10s were both making their Foyle Cup debut and quickly found their feet to record solid victories against Kilmac Academy, Oxford United and St Oliver Plunkett.

The U-11s had an impressive opening win over Partick Thistle and beat Clooney Soccer School in their second game to match the achievement of their younger club mates.

The going proved much tougher however for the Mallard u-12 team who met Donegal Schoolboys and were heavily beaten by a capable representative side.

A most pleasing overall opener however for the young Ballinamallard teams in their 16th consecutive year at the Foyle Cup.
