Quinn to become new Mallards assistant

Dergview assistant manager John Quinn is set to be appointed Whitey Anderson’s second in command at Ferney Park.

Quinn has confirmed he was returning to his former club to replace Brian Khan.

It is understood the vastly experienced B Licence coach as well as acting as assistant to Anderson will be charged with heading up youth development at Ferney Park.

Dergview boss Clarke said he was disappointed to lose the services of the Quinn.

“I’m bitterly disappointed John’s going but I understand his reasons for going.,” said Clarke.

“I want to put on record my thanks to him. He helped attract players, made a significant input and helped us progress well.

“He was someone that I learned a lot from. Ballinamallard is John’s club and I wish him well.”
