It was stalemate at Ferney Park this afternoon with both sides failing to find the net.
There were chances though with Gary Twigg having the first real chance of the game connecting with Conaty’s cross but keeper Fergal Murphy pulled off an excellent save.
It was Twigg again with a header from McMahon’s cross which came back off the cross bar ten minutes into the second half.
Ballinamallard had their chances too. Mark Staffords thundering header crashed off the Ports crososbar with keeper Miskelly beaten after a whipped free kick from David Kee.
Portadown had to play with 10 minutes for the final 10 minutes of the game when  Mark McAllister was red carded on 80 mintues when he received a second yellow.
