20-year-old Josh Elliott, who finished sixth in this year’s series, will spearhead Morello Racing’s attack on next season’s Pirelli National 1000cc Superstock class aboard Kawasaki machinery.

The Fermanagh rider scored a handful of impressive results during the 2014 campaign, with a Brands Hatch podium the highlight, and the Ballinamallard lad is delighted to be targeting a title winning season with Steve Buckenham’s Norfolk based team.

“I have to say I’m delighted to have been able to sign for Morello Racing to compete in the Pirelli National 1000cc Superstock class in 2015,” said Elliott.

“Steve Buckenham has put together a fantastic package for me and it was his passion and vision that sold it for me in the end.

“I’m excited that we will go testing early in the New Year, which will allow me to get to know the whole team. I’m also extremely pleased that Socialites Electric Cigarettes are continuing to be my primary sponsor on the Morello Racing Kawasaki ZX10R. However I would like to acknowledge the opportunity afforded me over the past two years by GA Racing and its sponsors, which gave me the opportunity to learn and grow as a rider.”

Looking ahead to next season, Elliott said, “The 2015 Pirelli National 1000cc Superstock Championship will be very competitive as ever, and with the news that former champion Alastair Seeley is returning, is great news. I am really looking forward to competing against such a quality rider. For sure it will be tough, but be under no illusion, I am not in it to make up the numbers next year.”

Morello Racing Director Steve Buckenham, said of his new signing, “We are very excited to have secured Josh’s signature for our 2015 Pirelli National 1000cc Superstock campaign. We see him as a very mature young rider with tremendous potential, having put in some outstanding performances last season. As a team Morello Racing will strive to provide him with the tools he needs to do a strong job all year.”
