Institute recorded their first away win of the season with a strong second half against Ballinamallard.
The Derry side scored scored twice in the second half to take the three points.
They took the lead after just nine minutes when a mistake by McMenamin allowed Darren McFadden in on the corner of the 18 yard box.
His first time half volley flew past keeper Fergal Murphy and into the net at the far corner.
On 18 minutes Ballinamallard were on level terms when Liam Martin spun out of a tackle on the byline to deliver to the back post for Anthony Elding to hammer home.
Then on 44 minutes Ballinamallard took the lead when a corner was driven into the Institute penalty area.It bobbled around before Lafferty’s shot was deflected off a defender and into the path of Leon Carters to tap home.
In the second half Institute levelled within two minutes when Ballinamallard failed to clear a set piece and Stephen O’Flynn was on hand to nod home from a yard out.
The introduction of Michael McCrudden for Institute had an immediate effect when he took advantage of a Carters slip to race through to strike a stunning effort from 30 yards past keeper Murphy.
