‘Battle of the Bands’ kicks off in style

AN ENNISKILLEN ‘Battle of the Bands’ kicked off in style on Monday night, and continued in similar fashion last night, Tuesday.

The event, dubbed ‘Roadstock’, which continues today (Wednesday) and is taking place in the Roadhouse in Enniskillen, has featured an electic mix of acts across the two nights.

The prize for the winner, announced today, is a chance to record original material in a studio.

The three-day event has been organised by Tommy O’Neill, Matthew O’Dee and Ryan Patterson.

On Monday night, the two acts through to today’s final were Golden South and Let’s Go Zero. Ashley Robinson and If Not When made it through on Tuesday.

They will compete with the winners of the second heat, announced late last night, Tuesday, for the prize.

Bands included on the bill have been: Blurred Lines, If Not When, The DMS, Attack The Day – as well as brand new acts such as Golden South, HAHA Your Dead and Mile High Club.

Other acts included: Imperfect Scribble, Aaron Wilson, Ben Forbes, Ashley Robinson, Adam Doherty, Christopher Flanagan and Tommy and Matty. The event will also saw the long awaited return of Enniskillen’s Lets Go Zero.
